Some Android phones use aptX Adaptive by default for Bluetooth connections. To meet the needs of users who prefer LDAC, a function to disable aptX was added; after aptX is disabled, the Bluetooth connection will default to LDAC. (the specific behavior depends on the phone’s actual implementation)

    1. Applicable models:

Starting from the D50 III, most DACs with Bluetooth input released afterward basically include this feature.

    2. How it works:

When enabled, the phone may use aptX Adaptive automatically. When disabled, it will choose another available Bluetooth codec instead.

    3. Common misunderstanding:

Disabling aptX does not guarantee a switch to LDAC. After aptX is disabled, the phone will reselect from the remaining codecs supported by both devices. If either the phone or the device does not support LDAC, it may fall back to AAC, SBC, or another available codec instead.
